When is Diane Ream going to just die? I am so sick of her voice. I listen to NPR on the way to work every morning. She comes on at 9:00 which is toward the end of my commute. Therefore, I am already pissed off at the traffic in phoenix and I do not need to hear this old lady who sounds like she is about to kick the bucket any second. I think she should of retired about 10 years ago. I wonder how much longer they are going to keep her on the air. I can just see it 20 years from now......"Live from the Springfield assisted living center in Springfield Florida, Diane Ream"...."You are listening to the Diane Ream show I am your host Diane Ream, President Bush IV has put in a new bill to raise gas prices to $55.00 a gallon. We are going to talk about that today"
I hate Diane Ream, she takes about 5 mins to say 2 mins worth of words. I guess as long as she can talk they will have her on the radio. I think she will die on the air, that is my prediction. "How do you feel about that Jerry?....Good....Diane?.....Are you awake?" I can't wait for that day.

Dear Tyse, D.Ream is a very beautiful lady who had a rare disease that left her vocal cords damaged. She is not as old as you might think.
Hopefully when (not if) you get old and sick, you will be treated with more loving kindness than you offer her.
Doing to others what you would want them to do you if you were in the same situation is a wonderful way to live your life. It is the Golden Rule and will bring peace and happiness to you.
"Hell" is simply the misery we create for ourselves, when we violate that simple principle--probably why you're feeling the way you do.
Remember that is not doing to others what they do to you. As Gandhi said, "An eye for an eye makes us all blind".
If you need to vent your rage then kindly pick an inanimate target like a pillow or a punching bag that will not hurt people or their feelings.
Aren't there enough people hurting right now? If we each did our part to make this a better place to live...I think it would dramatically raise the level of peace around the world.

Wow. First of all, if you have such a problem with any show or radio station, are you aware that YOU are in control of the dial? YOU are the one who chooses to stay tuned to NPR at 9:00. Also, as Jewels said, Diane Ream had a very serious disease that damaged her vocals. Hopefully upon learning that you feel ashamed of your comments. If not, then you are an even bigger jerk than first appearances suggest. Good luck being happy in life when you intentionally expose yourself to things that clearly enrage you. Weirdo.
Oh, one more thing. I actually think that Dian Rehm is to be respected for choosing to continue a radio career when her voice was so affected by her disease. To me that shows commitment and a love for what she does. You might do well to find a similar, POSITIVE passion.
Dian Ream; is a National Security problem! Ever listen to the phone calls she takes? She only takes calls from people who are just as nuts as she is. People who call up and state un-true facts, are never corrected, if they are anti Governement, and anti Bush. This is not reporting, this is straight out lieing.........She is the "Jerry Springer" of radio.....I wonder how much in Euro the French pay her for confusing her already confused listeners....
I am glad to see there are other normal people in the world who can't stand the 3 hours it takes Dian two say three words. She should serve lemonade to the other reporters and bake cookies. Not have her own show that consumes my drive time.

Haha. My cousin and I love NPR and we recently had the exact same dialogue about the DR show. She's a snart lady and asks perfect questions but she needs to pack her shit out of her cubicle in a little box, grab her office plant and bounce the fuck out.
